1. Introduction

Thank you for using ECHO, a bot for the chat and social platform Discord. By using ECHO, you indicate that you have read and understand both our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

This is a legal agreement between echobots.gg (“I”, “We”, “Our”, “ECHO”, “Website”, “Us”) and you (“Your”) for using our bot(s), website, and other related services. By using these services, you agree to follow our Terms of Service.

To fully understand and agree to these terms, you must read, understand, and accept Discord Inc.’s Terms of Service.

2. License

You may use ECHO and its services for any commercial and non-commercial purposes, excluding intellectual property such as brand names and logos, which may only be used for non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer or attempt to derive the source code from ECHO.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By using our bots, website, and other related services, you indicate that you have read, understand, and will abide by these Terms and our Privacy Policy at all times.

In compliance with Discord’s Terms of Service, you must be 13 years or older to use our bots, website, and other related services.

4. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at our sole discretion, at any time. The most up-to-date version will be available on our website at echobots.gg/terms. It is your responsibility to regularly review these Terms and stay informed of any changes.

5. Service Usage

We prohibit any form of harmful behavior by users of ECHO’s services, such as spamming, harassment, illegal activities, and sending advertisements and spam.

We prohibit any form of access to our bot or website using automated technology such as bots, self-bots, scraping, or other software.

6. Payments

ECHO provides free services alongside paid services and add-ons, listed at echobots.gg/order. We also accept donations. Paid services are billed monthly or as a one-off lifetime purchase, as selected at checkout.

By providing your payment information you authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date via our payment processor, Stripe. Where a payment fails, you authorise us and Stripe to re-attempt that payment on the same payment method on multiple occasions over the recovery period described in section 7.

If we believe a payment has violated any law or these Terms, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction. We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your subscriptions and services where necessary.

7. Subscriptions

Your subscription renews automatically on each payment date until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.

If a renewal payment fails:

  • We will attempt to notify you by Discord direct message and by email. Notification is a courtesy, not a condition of the process below — you remain responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file and for reading messages sent to you.
  • Your access to the paid service may be suspended after a small number of failed attempts. Suspension is not deletion: your configuration is retained.
  • We and Stripe will continue to re-attempt payment on your payment method for up to 45 days from the date of the failed invoice.
  • If payment succeeds at any point in that window, your service is reinstated automatically. Some services require a one-off action by you to resume (for example re-inviting a bot, or re-importing a VPN configuration).
  • If payment has not been received within 45 days, the subscription is cancelled and your data and configuration for that service may be permanently deleted. We are under no obligation to retain it and it may not be recoverable.

You are not charged for the period during which a service is suspended.

We are not responsible for managing your subscriptions on your behalf.

8. Lifetime Orders

Where a service is offered as a “lifetime” purchase, this means a single up-front payment in place of a recurring subscription. No further payment is required for that service.

“Lifetime” refers to the operational lifetime of the service concerned, not to your lifetime, and not to any guaranteed period. Specifically:

  • A lifetime purchase entitles you to the service for as long as we continue to offer it. It is not a guarantee that the service will be offered indefinitely.
  • If we permanently discontinue a service, or cease operating, lifetime access to that service ends. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a planned discontinuation where reasonably possible.
  • Lifetime access covers the service as it exists from time to time. Features may be added, changed or removed, and a lifetime purchase does not entitle you to any specific feature, limit or level of service being maintained.
  • Lifetime access is tied to the Discord account used at checkout and is non-transferable, except at our discretion via a support ticket.
  • Lifetime access does not extend to other services. Where a lifetime purchase includes access to another service as a bundled benefit, that benefit lasts only while we continue to offer it as part of the bundle, and may be withdrawn from future and existing purchases on reasonable notice.
  • Lifetime access may be terminated without refund if you breach these Terms.
  • Where a service depends on a third party (including Discord), lifetime access is subject to that third party’s continued availability and terms. We cannot provide a service that a third party prevents us from providing.

Lifetime purchases are one-off payments and are not subject to sections 6 and 7 regarding renewals, failed payments or suspension.

9. Refunds

All sales of services are final, and we do not offer refunds except in cases where the service provided is non-functional or materially differs from what is described at the time of purchase.

If you believe that the service you received does not match the description or is completely unusable due to a technical issue, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase. Upon verification, we may issue a refund at our sole discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our bots and website is owned by us. Any unauthorised use of this content for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

We disclaim any warranties regarding the availability, accuracy, and reliability of the bot.

We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the bot.

If you are a paying customer and are refunded or leave our server for any reason, your subscription will be cancelled, and you will lose access to your benefits.

If you are a paying customer and exceed the maximum warnings in our server, you will be jailed and will only be able to access commands to manage your benefits.

13. Termination
